FAQ
Your frequently asked questions
In our FAQ section you will find the answer to a number of frequently asked questions.
Can a property be financed at 100%?
Yes, in certain cases it is possible to obtain financing of up to 100% of the property price, particularly for first-time buyers. The conditions depend mainly on your financial situation, your job stability and the type of property project. The additional costs may, however, remain payable by you depending on the application and the terms applied by our partner banks.
What is the Bëllegen Akt?
* The “Bëllegen Akt” tax credit: it allows the registration and transcription duties to be deducted up to a ceiling of €40,000 per person (i.e. €80,000 for a couple). The amount is deducted directly by the notary at the signing.
* A concrete example: for the purchase of a property at €600,000, the 7% duties come to €42,000. Thanks to the maximum tax credit of €40,000, you pay only €2,000 in registration duties.
What is the difference between a fixed and a variable rate?
When should a financing assessment be started?
It is advisable to start a financing assessment even before you begin your property search. It tells you your borrowing capacity, allows you to set a realistic budget and helps you move forward with greater peace of mind. Once the preliminary contract is signed, the application can then be put to our partner banks in order to find the most suitable financing solution.
